A little gypsy song
A little gypsy song
Where do the wild birds sing
When all is dead and gone
I’ve been whispering
A little gypsy song
To the wind
Seeking a place to belong
Got carried away
By another day
Trading my soul
For another line
Travelling slow
I opened my eyes
Freedom was mine
When I wrote this line
I’ve been whispering
A little gypsy song
Traded no more
My spirit could soar
Giving it all
For a living that is small
Taking part no more
In a lie that blinds
The best of humankind
Set me free to be ...
